Tendon or tempura donburi is another dish that is hard to find done right so when I saw the ad saying it’s from an 8x Gold Medalist at the Japanese Donburi Awards, I had to try it. It was good but did not blow me away.

Found pretty legit tendon in the US! made by a Peruvian chef who trained in Tokyo.  Don't sleep on https://www.yelp.com/biz/tendon-tempura-carlos-junior-torrance the Anago is flown in from Japan and the Tempura soft egg and rice were pretty spot-on.  Or maybe this is just the most legit i've had?
